Local nonprofit gives baby formula to parents in need

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - The Augusta Partnership for Children says that every Wednesday in August, they’ll give away baby formula to those in need.

They say there is a limit, of two cans per child while supplies last.

Local groups give supplies and resources to new parents in need

New and experienced parents may be getting sticker shock from the cost of diapers, but here in Augusta, local organizations are lending a hand.

Here are the brands parents can find at the giveaways:

  • Ensure Plus

  • Similac Alimentum
  • Alfamino Junior-Pediatric
New dental facility offers free care to patients in Augusta

A new dental facility opened in Augusta to provide services at no cost to patients. Miracle Making Ministries is a non-profit organization helping people get the care they need.

Druid Park Community Dental Care

That giveaway is happening on Telfair Street and again the next two Wednesdays from 9 a.m. to noon.

Those attending must complete a screening for more information call 706-721-1049.

Augusta Partnership for Children, Inc., is a charitable non-profit collaborative purposed to create solutions to local challenges experienced by children and families using the expertise and knowledge of people living in Augusta-Richmond County.

Their services include training, home visiting, health education, and resource sharing.
