Helms College salutes graduates at ceremony in Augusta
Helms College held its August graduation ceremony Saturday at the Snelling Conference Center on Washington Road, honoring students' perseverance and achievements.

Cato, a long-time advocate for quality education, believed in the transformative power of helping people who wanted to better themselves. He ed away on Aug. 16, 2022, after battling an illness that left him spending many days, weeks, and sometimes months in hospitals in his final years.
“The care provided for Henry by the nurses and medical teams was invaluable to his quality of life,” said the co-trustees of Cato’s estate. “Providing an endowment for nursing scholarships in his revocable trust was the way Henry chose to recognize nurses who cared for him and to provide educational assistance for future nurses.”
