You can expect lane closures at state line for the next week

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - For about five years, CSRA drivers have been enduring lane closures and orange cones around the Interstate 20 bridge over the Savannah River.

And though we’re nearing the end of the ordeal, there’s a string of closures ahead in coming days:

Saturday, Aug. 17, 8 p.m. until Sunday, Aug. 18, 6 a.m.

• Alternating left- and right-lane closures on I-20 westbound from Mile Marker 1 in South Carolina to Mile Marker in Georgia

Sunday, Aug. 18, until Monday, Aug. 19

• 8 p.m. until 6 a.m., single right-lane closure on I-20 westbound from Mile Marker 1 in South Carolina to Mile Marker 200 in Georgia
• 9 p.m. until 7 a.m., single right-lane closure on I-20 eastbound from Mile Marker 200 in Georgia to Mile Marker 1 in South Carolina

Monday, Aug. 19, until Tuesday, Aug. 20

• 8 p.m. until 6 a.m., single, right-lane closure on I-20 westbound from Mile Marker 1 in South Carolina to Mile Marker 200 in Georgia
• 9 p.m. until 7 a.m., single, right-lane closure on I-20 eastbound from Mile Marker 200 in Georgia to Mile Marker 1 in South Carolina

Tuesday, Aug. 20, until Wednesday, Aug. 21

• 8 p.m. until 6 a.m., single, right-lane closure on I-20 westbound from 1 in South Carolina to Mile Marker 200 in Georgia
• 9 p.m. until 7 a.m., single, right-lane closure on I-20 eastbound from Mile Marker 200 in Georgia to Mile Marker 1 in South Carolina

Wednesday, Aug. 21, until Thursday, Aug. 22

• 8 p.m. until 6 a.m., single, right-lane closure on I-20 westbound from Mile Marker 1 in South Carolina to Mile Marker 200 in Georgia
• 10 p.m. until 7 a.m., single, right-lane closure on I-20 eastbound from Mile Marker 200 in Georgia to Mile Marker 1 in South Carolina

Thursday, Aug. 22, until Friday, Aug. 23

• 9 p.m. until 6 a.m., single right-lane closure on I-20 westbound from Mile Marker 1 in South Carolina to Mile Marker 200 in Georgia
• 10 p.m. until 7 a.m., single right-lane closure on I-20 eastbound from Mile Marker 200 in Georgia to Mile Marker 1 in South Carolina

Friday Aug. 23, until Saturday, Aug. 24

• 10 p.m. until 6 a.m., single right-lane closure on I-20 westbound from Mile Marker 1 in South Carolina to Mile Marker 200 in Georgia
• 10 p.m. until 7 a.m., single right-lane closure on I-20 eastbound from Mile Marker 200 in Georgia to Mile Marker 1 in South Carolina

During this time, the shoulders of I-20 eastbound and westbound may be affected.
