USC Aiken welcomes new students for start of fall semester

AIKEN, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) - It’s an exciting time as University of South Carolina students get ready for the start of classes.
USC Aiken’s freshman Class of 2028 moved in over the weekend and on Monday, they walked as a group to the convocation center for a ceremony.
That’s where they got their big welcome to the university ahead of the first day of classes.
The school says it is on track to welcome the largest freshman class in its history.
Classes start Tuesday.
