How to request a Ga. absentee ballot for November election
AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - If you’re a Georgia voter and plan to cast an absentee ballot in the November election, the window to request that ballot is now open.
Absentee ballots can be requested until Oct. 25.
Some fear newly OK’d Ga. vote-counting rules could cause delays
The Georgia State Election Board voted Monday to approve a new rule that ers say is necessary to ensure that votes are properly counted but that critics argue could be used to cause chaos as election officials are trying to finalize election results.

Election officials said those who plan to vote absentee should do it early. They said that would help avoid complications like delays with the mail and ensure your vote is counted on time.
To get an absentee ballot by mail, you’ll have to apply in writing by completing and submitting an application. Here’s where to get the form:

Georgia law allows for absentee ballots to be requested no earlier than 78 days and no later than 11 days before an election.
.All voted ballots must be returned by 7 p.m. election night.
