Murphey Middle School announces deaths of 2 students
AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - Two students from Murphey Middle School have died over the weekend, according to school officials.
In a letter sent to parents, the school says, “Our condolences and thoughts are with their family and friends.”

The letter states there will be grief counselors on campus if your student needs to speak to one.
“I know our Murphey Middle School students and staff will lean on each other during this time,” said the letter to parents. “Together, our staff will continue to embrace our mission to contribute to our students’ social and emotional development and to always be attentive to students’ and each other’s emotional needs.”
The circumstances regarding the students’ deaths were not released.
