Richmond County board approve millage rate increase

The Richmond County School System has approved to increase the millage rate on Tuesday.

Richmond County allows families to pick a school of their choosing.

It also allows video cameras to be placed throughout the school for security. But not in private places like bathrooms and locker rooms.

Officials say the district’s use of video and audio-visual cameras has increased in recent years for security purposes, as well as academic and professional reasons. As a result, the district recommends the adoption of Policy ECAF Video Monitoring.
