Hidden camera leads to over 20 counts of sexual exploitation of minor
AIKEN, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) - A man has been arrested and charged with over 20 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor in Wagener on Tuesday, according to the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office.
On July 15, deputies responded to a Wagener home about suspicious activity, according to the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office.
New suspect charged in Edgefield County abuse, death of child
A 30-year-old man has been charged after the ongoing abuse and death of a child, according to the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division.

The complainant told deputies the suspect identified as Anthony Joseph Silva, 54, of Lexington, was allowed to stay at the residence for the past few months.
Deputies say the complainant found a wireless camera concealed as a wall charger in the teenager’s bathroom.
The complainant also told deputies Silva was supposed to work that night but he is suspicious that he didn’t go to work because he knew the teenage daughter was there, according to authorities.
Augusta man accused of criminal sexual conduct with a minor in 2022
An Augusta man has been arrested two years after being accused of criminal sexual conduct with a minor that occurred in North Augusta, we learned on Wednesday.

Deputies say Silva’s phone was seized on the scene.
Silva was booked on Aug. 27 and charged with 20 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor in the first degree and nine counts of sexual exploitation of a minor in the third degree, according to jail records.
