2 students injured during altercation on Harlem High School bus
HARLEM, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - Two students were minorly injured during an altercation between several students on the school bus on the way to Harlem High School on Wednesday morning, according to the principal.
Gun reported at bus stop in Augusta, middle school parents learn
A student was spotted with a gun at a bus stop earlier this week, according to the Richmond County School System.

On Sept. 4, Principal Casey Dees sent a letter to parents notifying them of the incident on bus 1815.
Dees stated that the school bus driver pulled over in a neighborhood and one of the students involved in the incident got off the school bus. Columbia County School District Police officers immediately responded to the scene and Columbia County Sheriff’s deputies assisted with safely locating the student who left the bus.
Parents were informed that first responders were called for a minor injury to two students involved in the incident, and no other injuries were reported.
High alert: THC vape mistaken for weapon at Cross Creek
Cross Creek High School was placed on lockdown for a time Friday when s were told there may be a weapon on campus.

As a result of the incident, the school bus arrived at school approximately 15 minutes late and impacted only the students on the bus, Dees says.
The investigation is still ongoing, however, all parties responsible will be held able according to the Code of Conduct and any violations of the law.
“Safety of students and staff is a top priority and the school bus is an extension of the classroom. As such, students are expected to maintain proper decorum while a enger.
