NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) - On Thursday, a new restaurant opened its doors in North Augusta for a soft opening on Beacon Bluff and Georgia Avenue.

Bowl Boss Acai offers healthier options for people with their acai bowls, waffles, espresso drinks and more.

Developers say this adds to the project with restaurants, apartments and more.

Aiken’s Makin’ brings in more vendors than ever for 48th year

Food, family and fun are all returning to Aiken this weekend and you can attend for free. Starting Friday, Aiken’s Makin’ is back again for the 48th year.

We spoke with the owners of the restaurant who say the goal is to make their food allergy friendly.

“The founder of the business is a nutritionist, and she has a dairy allergy. She created the restaurant around being allergy-friendly, so it’s very important to us,” said owners Vicky Matson and Tricia Godwin.

The grand opening is on Saturday.

This comes as Fleet Feet opened and the restaurant Melty opens later this month.
