AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - Arrest warrants allege the young daughters of Augusta’s latest murder victim had to crawl through her blood to get help and then had to identify their stepfather – a man only recently paroled for another shooting – as the killer.
Davante Parks, 26, is now in custody in connection with the homicide that occurred Saturday in the 500 block of Hines Street in Augusta.
Arrest warrants allege he fatally shot Laquana Lang, 27, and left her children alone with her body for more than four hours.
The victim’s 2-year-old and 5-year-old had to crawl over and walk through the blood of their dead mother to get help, according to arrest warrants.
According to the arrest warrants released Monday, Parks shot Lang in the upper torso – and her children had to identify him to authorities as the shooter.
