AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - Dry weather can be expected through midweek, but it looks like Francine, now in the southwestern Gulf of Mexico, will bring extra moisture to the region later this week and a good chance of rain Thursday, Friday, and possibly into next weekend.

The sunny and mild weather continues today and most of Wednesday, although clouds will return Wednesday ahead of the next chance of rain Thursday. Wednesday will start off cool in the upper 50s to low 60s with afternoon highs in the middle 80s.
