Apalachee High suspected shooter Colt Gray also had a knife, GBI says
An assault-style rifle wasn’t the only weapon the suspected Apalachee High School shooter allegedly brought to class, according to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.
Colt Gray, a 14-year-old student at Apalachee High, was charged in connection to the deadly shooting. Charged as an adult, he is facing four counts of murder.
Colin Gray, Colt’s father, was also charged after law enforcement said they believe he gave Colt the gun used in the shooting.
Apalachee High School students will return to school the week of Sept. 23, according to the Barrow County School System. Classes in the district were canceled for days after the deadly shooting. On Tuesday, students returned to all Barrow County schools except Apalachee High.
