McMaster seeks help for S.C. counties hit hard by Debby

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - South Carolina Gov. Henry McMaster is asking for federal help for counties affected by Tropical Storm Debby.
He’s requesting a presidential disaster declaration and the same from the U.S. Small Business istration.
Damage estimates are valued at more than $16 million.
If approved, the presidential disaster declaration will help 15 counties, including Bamberg, Barnwell and Orangeburg.

Aiken’s city manager says the Union Street Bridge will not reopen because it doesn’t meet safety standards.

The small business disaster declaration would go to Orangeburg and Berkeley counties.
