Man accused of punching pregnant woman in the stomach
ALLENDALE, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) - The Allendale Police Department is looking for a 21-year-old man after he punched a pregnant woman in the stomach multiple times.
Officials say they responded to Dollar Tree, located at 165 South Main Street, on Tuesday for an assault and battery.
When deputies arrived, the juvenile female victim stated Demetrious Elmore, a man who she previously dated, came up to her and questioned her about getting pregnant by another person.
When the victim confirmed she was pregnant, officials say Elmore struck her in the stomach area with a closed fist.
Elmore then took her phone and left the store. Outside of the store, officials say Elmore struck the victim two more times in her stomach to “terminate the pregnancy.”
36-year-old bicyclist fatally struck by vehicle on Deans Bridge Road
A 36-year-old bicyclist was killed after being struck by a vehicle on Deans Bridge Road the Richmond County Coroner’s Office told us early Friday morning.

According to the news release, Elmore has repeatedly attempted communication with the victim since the incident, calling more than 17 times within 30 minutes.
The victim has gotten medical attention multiple times as a result of the battery, according to the news release.
Elmore is wanted for attempted murder, assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature and stalking.
