ORANGEBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WCSC) - Orangeburg County deputies say a missing woman who was believed to be in danger has been found safe.
The 79-year-old had been reported missing Wednesday morning after having last been seen at her Hickory Drive home at approximately 12:30 a.m.
Her vehicle, a Chevrolet Equinox, had been spotted by a license plate reader between Charleston and Beaufort, deputies said.
Orangeburg County Sheriff’s spokesman Richard Walker confirmed last Wednesday afternoon that she had been located safe in the Goose Creek area.
Deputies thanked the public for their help in getting the word out about her disappearance.
