In recent weeks, the decision to hand-count ballots on election day has raised questions and lawsuits.
“From what we’ve seen is the people are going to have a fair and accurate election and the judge was very clear that their job is to do their job. Just like the county early voting officials, they are doing their job so in spite of the damage we have had with Hurricane Helene,” said Raffensperger.
Raffensperger said absentee ballots are going out this week as scheduled. Early voting will start October 15.
