Augusta Transit resumes regular schedules on all its bus routes

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - Officials say all Augusta Transit routes will resume regular schedules starting Tuesday.
All routes were shut down in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, then the agency began offering limited services a few days ago.
Now things are mostly back to normal, but with some adjustments.
Route 1 Blue Line/Walton Way will operate according to a regular schedule but will not travel on Walton Way between Baker Avenue and Monte Sano Avenue/Lake Forest Drive. A temporary detour will use Baker Avenue and Central Avenue impacting the following locations:
- Riders traveling to/from the Bon Air Apartments must walk to Baker Avenue and Walton Way to board/alight.
- Riders traveling to Augusta University Summerville Campus will have to walk to Central Avenue/Stovall Street to board or alight.
New recovery center helps Augusta business owners affected by Helene
he Small Business istration has opened a Business Recovery Center in Augusta on Tuesday, where SBA staff can provide small business owners with assistance as they recover from Hurricane Helene.
