17-year-old charged with murder in gang-related shooting
AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - A 17-year-old has been arrested and charged with murder in connection with a shooting on Ellis Street that left a homeless woman dead in July, according to arrest warrants.
Arrest warrants state Jayden Xavier Bell, of Augusta, was arrested Thursday.
On July 27 around 12:50 p.m., arrest warrants state Bell sent the location of a rival gang to his fellow gang , in a group text message.

A suspect has been accused of assaulting a woman and a dog in front of two children in Augusta, we learned from authorities on Thursday.

According to the arrest warrants, Bell knew of the gang that received his text would carry out a violent act.
Arrest warrants also state Bell “did unlawfully engage in activity conducted by a criminal street gang, namely: Everybody on Loyalty Gang, when they participated in a pattern of criminal gang activity.”
The victim, Argie Jones, 54, was outside of a residence in the 1900 block of Ellis Street, the address Bell allegedly sent to gang .
Arrest warrants say of the gang shot at the home multiple times, striking Jones and causing her death.
Aiken man accused assault/attempted murder 3 years later
A 33-year-old has been arrested in connection to a shooting incident from 2021, we learned from the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office on Wednesday.

Bell is charged with murder, unlawful street gang activity and more.
Bell is being held in Richmond County jail, without bond.
