On Oct. 12 at 2:22 a.m. deputies say they responded to the 1900 block of Harvest Point about an assault on a woman and a pet dog in front of two juveniles.
Deputies said they were told that the victim was texting a friend for help because Anthony Warthen, 29, was holding a knife and would stab her if she notified the police. She told dispatch she was scared because of his past violent behavior.
Deputies surrounded the apartment and saw Warthen holding a large knife and waving it around while acting erratic. They also could hear a loud verbal argument, according to the report.
2 suspects accused of separate aggravated assaults
The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office is looking for two suspects involved in separate aggravated assault incidents.

When attempting to speak with the victim, she told deputies she could not step out of the apartment due to Warthen stopping her.
The victim then told deputies to enter the apartment, and Warthen placed the knife down, the report states. He was immediately put under arrest.
The victim stated she and Warthen were fighting over her two children letting the dog out of the cage, deputies said.
Warthen threatened her, slammed her to the ground and started choking her, the victim told deputies. She was able to escape and try to call her friend and 911, but he grabbed her phone and slammed it on the ground multiple times.
He continued to threaten her with a knife against her throat, saying he would kill her, then threw her on the ground once more, according to the victim.
Warthen picked up the metal dog crate and threw it at her, striking her and her dog, named Kira, the victim told deputies. He then turned to Kira and punched her in the head multiple times.

The victim advised the crate hit her computer, but Warthen proceeded to dump rubbing alcohol all over the computer and keyboard, according to the report.
