ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - An Atlanta woman is alleging potential voter fraud after finding her voter page was mysteriously altered earlier this week.
“I was sitting there in shock, like what on earth happened? I didn’t change this. What do I do next? Who do talk to, how do I fix this, and how does this affect my vote,” said Ashley Kunkle.
According to a notification on her voter page, Kunkle said someone altered her address, moving her out of her voting district.
Ga. top court refuses GOP bid to restore last-minute election rules
The Georgia Supreme Court on Tuesday rejected an attempt by national and state Republicans to immediately reinstate recently ed election rules that a judge had ruled were invalid.
“It moved me all the way across the county, to south (Fulton) county, at a random address outside the city,” she said.
Atlanta News First reviewed the address. It technically is still within Atlanta city limits.
Kunkle feared this could jeopardize her ability to vote in local elections.
On Friday, she called a voting hotline which sent her to the Fulton County Registrar’s Office.
‘A lot is at stake’: Local voters weigh in on presidential race
We are just 18 days away from election day, and Georgia has already seen record-breaking numbers at the polls in early voting.

Kunkle said a representative corrected her address over the phone without asking any qualifying questions or asking for proof of residency.
“On one hand, it’s fantastic that they updated my address this morning. It’s great it’s resolved. On the other hand, why was it so easy to change my address and even change it back, and it still doesn’t answer the question of what exactly happened,” Kunkle said.
Ga. absentee voters face mail delays, vanishing drop boxes
Early voting began last Tuesday with a state record for voter turnout during the start of the advance voting period. The records continued all week.

Atlanta News First reached out to Fulton County. A spokesperson said their team followed proper processes in correcting Kunkle’s address.
“Regarding the voter, the registration rep verified her name, address, and date of birth before updating her address in the system. The application used to update the address was also reviewed before completing the update. All protocols and processes were followed regarding verification of the voter’s information,” the spokesperson said.
Atlanta News First went to the house listed on the changed address from Kunkle’s voter page.
A look at the false information around Hurricane Helene
The devastation around Hurricanes Helene and Milton has been complicated further by false and misleading information, much of it politically motivated.

Nobody answered the door, but neighbors said they believed someone lived there.
Kunkle said she had no history at that address and did not have any friends or family connected to it.
Atlanta News First reached out to both state and county officials on if this issue is widespread. Neither agency reported back on this question.
Kunkle said she learned the importance of checking her voter registration early, allowing her and the county time to address the concern.
