Aiken daughter accused of throwing bleach in mother’s eyes
AIKEN, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) - A daughter has been accused of throwing bleach in her mother’s eyes while two juveniles were present in Aiken, according to authorities.
Aiken Public Safety Officers say on Nov. 3, around 1:08 p.m. they responded to the 1300 block of Triple Tree Lane in reference to a disturbance.
Officers said they found the victim sitting upright in a chair in the driveway, with the help of a neighbor. They said they immediately noticed the victim’s eyes were swollen shut and there was an overwhelming odor of bleach.
Officers said the victim’s clothes were stained with bleach and she told them that her daughter assaulted her.
When officers met with the suspect, Kissante Sanders, 25, they said she also had bleach stains all over the front of her shirt.
Suspects sought after stealing vehicle, fleeing from Allendale facility
The Allendale Police Department announced for the public to be on the lookout for a suspect and his partner who fled from a facility outside of town limits on Tuesday morning.

Sanders stated she was trying to wash dishes and claimed her mother began arguing with her and hit her arm in an attempt to keep her from using bleach in the dishwater, according to the report.
Sanders said she struck back at her mother threw bleach in her face, and claimed it was in self-defense, the report states.
Officers say Sanders also stated her mother continued to fight with her - but would not say what caused her mother’s eyes to be swollen shut. She only repeated she was fighting in self-defense.
When officers entered the apartment, they said, “the odor of bleach was overwhelming and overpowering,” according to the report.
Officers say they then found two juveniles in the living room and removed them from the hazardous area.
Officers state they called for EMS to assess the condition of both the juveniles along with victim.
The victim was transported to ARMC for further treatment and the juveniles were left in officers care, according to the report.
The report also included that officers noticed bleach on both juvenile’s clothes and smelled of bleach.
Attorney from Aiken suspended, arrested on child sexual abuse material, related charges
An attorney from Aiken County was arrested on seven charges connected to the sexual exploitation of minors, according to the South Carolina Attorney General’s Office.

Due to the potential of great bodily injury to the victim’s eyes, Sanders was placed under arrest for assault and battery in the first degree, according to officials.
The bleach being in the victim’s eyes and potential for ingestion throughout the incident could cause permanent loss or impairment of her vision and damage to her internal organs, officials stated.
Sanders was run through by NCIC and she was wanted by the Blackville Police Department, officials say. She was then transported directly to Aiken County Detention Center.
Officers went back to speak with the victim after Sanders had been detained.
The victim told officers she was in her room talking to her mother on the phone when she exited her room and went to the kitchen, the report states.
Officers said she told them Sanders attacked her with the bleach and pushed her to the ground. She punched her repeatedly in the face and head region.
She also claimed the Sanders grabbed her by her hair and began slamming her face into the floor. The bleach caused Sanders to vomit onto the victim, but she continued the assault, according to the report.
Due to the unreasonable risk of harm affecting both juveniles’ safety, Sanders was also charged with two counts of unlawful conduct toward a child, officials say.
