Suspect transferred to adult jail in Thomson teen’s slaying

A suspect involved in the slaying of Thomson 14-year-old has been transferred to be housed with other adults at the McDuffie County Jail.

THOMSON, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - A suspect involved in the slaying of Thomson 14-year-old has been transferred to be housed with other adults at the McDuffie County Jail.

Teyiceazhia Williams, now 17, was arrested in 2023 and charged with felony murder for her involvement.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation told us on Friday that Williams was charged as an adult in relation to the incident.

Williams was 16 at the time of her arrest and was originally taken to the Augusta Youth Detention Center.

Suspect arrested 6 months after stabbing in Thomson

A suspect has been accused of a stabbing incident back in May in Thomson, according to police.

The agency says there are no new updates in the case and that it is still active and ongoing.

The victim, Jonathan Johnson, 14, died Saturday at 11:31 a.m. from a gunshot wound to the head.

Dequadrez Walker, 18, and Camerin McNair, 15, were also arrested and charged with aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, and gang charges.

After Johnson’s death, the case was upgraded to a homicide investigation, and additional warrants of felony murder were obtained for Walker and McNair.

Walker was taken to the McDuffie County Jail and McNair was taken to the Augusta Youth Detention Center.
