17-year-old arrested in murder on Hephzibah-McBean Road
AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - A 17-year-old has been arrested and charged with the murder of a man on Hepzibah-McBean Road, the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office announced Wednesday.
On Tuesday, Jordan Walden, of Augusta, was arrested and charged with murder and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.
Suspect arrested in murder at Elliot Park in Augusta
A suspect has been arrested after being accused of killing 59-year-old Michael Whitfield on Halloween on Lumpkin Road, we learned from authorities on Tuesday.

The fatal shooting happened Tuesday at a home in the 1400 block of Hephzibah-McBean Road east of Hephzibah.
Walden and the victim both lived in the home, according to the arrest warrants, which classified the case as family violence.
Deputies said they responded at 3:11 p.m., and Coroner Mark Bowen identified the victim as Marciano Kirkland, 35, who was found dead inside his home.
Kirkland was pronounced dead at 4:15 p.m., and an autopsy has been scheduled, according to Bowen.
The investigation is ongoing and no further information is available.
