City of Aiken offers an update on debris removal progress

AIKEN, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) - The city of Aiken gave an update on debris removal Monday.
Currently, city crews are picking up debris in the areas of Two Notch and Whiskey Road from Barnard Avenue to Price Avenue.
Contractors are currently focused on Woodside.
South Carolina DOT contracted crews are in the Kalmia Hill and Highland Park areas.

Aiken City Council approves new downtown mixed-use project
The city of Aiken approved adding a mixed-use development project in the downtown area on Monday.
They say they are only removing storm debris and bagged debris will not be picked up.
They add you should not bag storm debris and say bagged yard debris placed on the street will be collected later.
