Columbia County approves extending E-SPLOST sales tax through 2032

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - On Tuesday, the Columbia County School Board approved moving forward with the E-SPLOST sales tax that funds different projects in the district.
Last week voters said yes to extending the E-SPLOST until 2032.

Tuesday is the deadline for Georgia’s 159 counties to certify their votes. The Richmond County Board of Elections met that deadline.
Also, at the board meeting, Grovetown Middle School assistant principal Marisa Forney was recognized for this year’s Georgia Middle School Principal’s Outstanding Assistant Principal award.
