AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - A 22-year-old has been arrested after allegedly shooting a victim in the leg with a gun on Wednesday, according to arrest warrants.

Darius Antwain Lester, of Hepzibah, was arrested on Wednesday, according to jail bookings.

Arrest warrants state around 11 a.m. on the 2000 block of Corning Street, Lester fired several shots from a gun in the direction of three victims, hitting one of them in the right, lower leg area.

10th defendant in Augusta-area meth-trafficking operation found guilty

The tenth defendant charged in an Augusta-area drug trafficking conspiracy has been found guilty at trial, representing the final defendant in the case with all others currently serving prison , we learned on Thursday.

That victim was transported to Wellstar MCG for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries and is in stable condition, according to the affidavit.

Arrest warrants state Lester also struck the front of the victims’ home while they were there and struck one of the victim’s cars.

The total amount of damages is unknown, according to the affidavit.

Lester is charged with three counts of aggravated assault, three counts of possession of a firearm or knife during the commission of a crime and two counts of criminal damage to property in the first degree.

On Lester’s possession of firearm charges, bond was set at $7,900 each, according to jail bookings.

Records show that for the remaining charges, bond was not set.

Lester is being held in Richmond County jail, according to bookings.
