FEMA disaster recovery centers in S.C. to close on Sundays

AIKEN, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) - As the Carolinas continue to recover from Helene, FEMA wants you to be aware of some new changes.

Disaster recovery centers in South Carolina will no longer be open on Sundays. There’s no reason given.

We saw the agency change the times when the centers would be open on their website.

North Augusta mayor invites public to discuss Helene recovery

The North Augusta mayor and city council invite the public to a community engagement meeting to discuss Hurricane Helene’s recovery on Tuesday night.

This includes the Orangeburg YMCA and Aiken Technical College for our area.

The James Brandt building in Allendale is also impacted, but the site shows it’s closed on both Saturday and Sundays moving forward.
