Young patients shop with their doctors at holiday event in Evans
EVANS, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - Young patients got into the holiday spirit on Tuesday by shopping with their doctors at an annual event in Evans.
The Burn Foundation of America held its annual shop with a doctor event, giving patients a gift card and letting them shop with their doctor and other of the burn care team.

You will have the chance to the Children’s Hospital of Georgia this week. The 24th annual iHeart Media Cares for Kids Radiothon kicks off Thursday.
Santa and Mrs. Claus were also there to take pictures with patients and their families.
Steve Chalker, chief operating officer at the Burn Foundation of America, said: “The kids just get to go in there. They get to spend some money and buy stuff they may not otherwise have and it’s a time to have fun and enjoy the spirit of Christmas.”
Chalker says the best part isn’t only seeing the smiles on faces but also seeing them enjoy being a kid.
