Richmond County School Board announces interim superintendent
AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - The Richmond County Board of Education announced an interim superintendent on Thursday, three days after the current district chief said he was stepping down.
Dr. Malinda Cobb will become interim superintendent on Jan. 1.
Cobb currently serves as the associate superintendent of academic services.
Kids at dozens of CSRA schools can seek Ga. tuition vouchers
Dozens of CSRA schools are on a list allowing their students to apply for vouchers for private tuition.

This comes after Superintendent Kenneth Bradshaw announced his resignation on Monday
Bradshaw has held the position of superintendent for 5½ years, according to the district, and has spent nearly a decade working in the school system.
Bradshaw’s last day will be Dec. 31.
That’s the exact same date four long-standing board who gave him the job more than five years ago will exit their seats.
Ga. Department of Education unveils 2025 legislative priorities
The Georgia Department of Education announced priorities, which will guide state school superintendent’s conversations with lawmakers.

State law allows them to name his successor before they leave office.
Otherwise, the job of finding the next man or woman for the job would have fallen on the newly elected board who take office in January.
