VANCE, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) - A driver was killed in a single-vehicle crash in Orangeburg County, we learned Monday morning from the South Carolina Highway Patrol.

Troopers said they responded to the scene on Lodge Hall Street near Lonnie Lane on Saturday, around 6:55 p.m.

The driver of a Chrysler sedan was traveling west on Lodge Hall Street when they ran left off the road, troopers say.

The driver then hit a power pole and then struck a tree, authorities say.

Authorities say the driver was the only occupant of the vehicle.
