Suspect charged in 2 murder investigations in Thomson
THOMSON, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - A suspect arrested in the murder of a Thomson 14-year-old is now charged in two other murder investigations, News 12 learned on Friday.
According to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, Rashun Coleman was transferred to the county jail on Thursday.
He is charged with two counts of murder, two counts of aggravated assault, unlawful criminal street gang activity and possession of a weapon during a violent crime, according to jail records.

The Gwinnett County trial of Celeste Owens, accused of murder in the death of 8-year-old Amari Hall in 2021, continues Thursday.

The GBI also says Coleman is charged in two separate murder investigations in Thomson.

One of the cases involved the shooting death of a Thomson 14-year-old, the GBI said in November last year.
The victim, in the 500 block of Anderson Avenue.
Rashun Coleman and Radarius Coleman, age 14, both of Valdosta, were arrested and charged with felony murder, aggravated assault and gang charges. They were taken to the Thomasville Youth Detention Center.
Booking photo released of man charged with Tignall triple murder
The man charged with the triple murder in Tignall has been booked in the Wilkes County jail, we learned Monday.

Arrested before Rashun and Radarius were Dequadrez Walker, 18, and Camerin McNair, 15. They’re charged with felony murder, aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony and gang offenses, according to authorities.
Teyiceazhia Williams, 16, was also arrested and charged with felony murder for her involvement.
Walker was taken to McDuffie County jail and McNair was taken to the Augusta Youth Detention Center.

The shooting shook the community and horrified neighbors, who say they’ve seen an increase in violence in the past two or three years.
“We got too many young children losing their lives to gun violence. And I’ve lived here for 57 years. And this has been the worst that I’ve ever seen McDuffie County since I’ve been here, 57 years,” Sabrina Hester told News 12 just after the shooting.
And Thomson’s mayor elect, Benji Cranford, said he was hurt by the news.
“I am keeping the family and all of Thomson’s youth in my prayers,” he said. “You don’t have the be an elected official to be disappointed with this news. All of Thomson is hurting due to this senseless crime. I promise when my istration is sworn in, the youth will be on our priority list.”
Deputies release new details on Amli Way shooting that killed 20-year-old
The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office released the report after two suspects were arrested in connection to the shooting death of 20-year-old Ruben Johnson on Amli Way.

All of the slayings come amid a two-year outbreak of violent crime that’s claimed more than 180 lives across the CSRA.
Cities large and small have been affected on both sides of the Savannah River.
