AIKEN, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) - We are now 11 days away from Christmas, and it’s the festive season at Hopelands Gardens.

The festive light show is complete with live performances and refreshments.

It’s a free event where you can see more than 100,000 lights around the park and performers on stage.

If you are looking for another holiday event this weekend, the Abilene Baptist Church in Martinez is hosting its 46th Singing Christmas Tree Event.

You can even buy s’mores for $5 to roast over the fire.

“I think it’s important to show how important to the community that we had this horrible event that happened and many peoples homes and the roads that we have been able to come together and have this incredible Christmas event that everyone looks forward to,” said Tourism Coordinator Rebekah Mayfield.

The show happens every night from 6 p.m. until 9:30 p.m. It ends on December 24.

As we are nearly three months removed from Hurricane Helene, having another free place to go is another benefit to the community.
