Christmas tree farm says Helene didn’t stop holiday crowds
AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - Christmas is just nine days away and tree farms are preparing after Hurricane Helene hit the area.
We spoke with Gay’s Christmas Tree Farm in Augusta who say they saw a lot of damage from the storm.
They say they had students who helped them but were a week behind on trimming and other preparations this year.

A concert in Aiken was put on Monday night to help benefit Hurricane Helene relief.
Despite being behind this year, they say they saw a great turnout of customers.
“We have had a lot of customers come out who have had damage to their houses, some type of damage to their yard, so they were really thrilled to come out here and kind of get out of the house a little bit so they can enjoy themselves.”
If you would like to get a tree you can them on either their Facebook page or you can call them at 706-798-3731.
