North Augusta bike, toy giveaway brings smiles to kids’ faces

NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) - The North Augusta Department of Public Safety ed True North Church and several other organizations to give kids a new way to travel before the holidays.

Bikes, soccer balls and other toys were given out to those who live at Gentry Trailer Park.

Lt. Clay Swann says the main goal is to bless others while bridging the gap between law enforcement and the community.

“We do this through the of several local businessmen in North Augusta who donate the bikes, and we have law enforcement come out to help out to try and bridge that gap between law enforcement and the community plus this is a time of giving and it helps these kids out,” Swann said.
