ORANGEBURG, S.C. (WIS) - The Orangeburg County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a man after deputies recovered over $250,000 worth of stolen cars and equipment.
Marlon Smith, 54, of Columbia, now faces multiple charges, including three counts of receiving stolen goods.
During a six-month investigation, deputies recovered three heavy-duty pickups, a heavy-duty trailer and a Lexus sedan.
“We certainly appreciate the help of SLED, who assisted in this investigation,” Orangeburg County Sheriff Leroy Ravenell said. “While this guy sits in jail, we’re going return this property to the owners.”
