CRAWFORDVILLE, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - A gas station in Taliaferro County was destroyed by a fire on Thursday morning.

The Taliaferro County Fire Department and Emergency Management says at 3:01 a.m., crews were dispatched to a commercial structure fire at Interstate 20 and Highway 22.

Upon arrival, firefighters found the BP gas station fully involved with fire, officials say.

Missing Ga. man believed to be in Aiken County, mom says

A missing Georgia man is believed to be in South Carolina, according to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office.

Michael Dean Campbell, 33

The Taliaferro County Fire Department says the gas station was not open or occupied at the time of the fire.

There were no injuries reported, officials say.

Greene County provided mutual aid to Taliaferro County crews.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by state investigators.
