ELLABELL, Ga. (WTOC/Gray News) - A teen in Georgia died in a car crash that also injured three other teenage boys, according to authorities.

Deputies were called to the scene around 1:30 p.m. on Monday where they found four teenage boys trapped in a car that had rolled over.

Colby Minis, 17, was taken to the hospital where he died from his injuries on Thursday.

Officials said two of those boys were airlifted to Savannah where they continue to fight for their lives.

“He was a light,” said Nikki Sloan, Minis' aunt and caretaker. “I would do anything to hear his laugh right now.”

According to Sloan, Minis was a kid who could change the mood of any room, with his big smile and boisterous laugh — a teenager who had hopes of and dreams of going to college and playing baseball at UGA.

“I felt helpless,” Sloan said.

His aunt said their relationship was always a close one and that no matter what, she was his first call. But the call she received on Monday was one she never wanted to answer.

“Please, don’t let this 17-year-old’s death be for nothing …talk to your kids,” said Sloan.
