Cooler highs as we finish off this week with lots of sunshine. Rain chances return Sunday into Monday.
AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - Not much rain in the forecast this week with a cool outlook. Next week temperatures will drop drastically as a cold front pushes through early in the week. Highs will be in the mid to upper 50s Friday. Morning lows Friday will also be in the upper 20s and low 30s.
Friday will also breezy with 20-30 mph gusts possible. The weekend will remain chilly, with morning lows in the upper 20s/low 30s and highs in the upper 40s to low 50s. Saturday will have sunny skies, but more clouds will show up during the day on Sunday. Isolated rain chances look possible before midnight Sunday.
Our next rain maker shows up next Monday as an area of low pressure tracks through the region. Highs Monday will be in the lower 50s. It will also be very windy behind our next front with 30+ mph gusts looking likely.
By Tuesday of next week we will feel the effects of the cold front that will push through the day before. Temperatures will struggle to reach the upper 40s Tuesday afternoon and overnight lows will drop into the low 20s by Wednesday morning. There is a chance for wintry precipitation but it is 7-10 days away and too early to have ANY confidence. Be sure you are receiving your forecasts from a reliable source. We will continue to monitor this but do not expect a forecast until the beginning of next week.
