‘Felon killed by private citizen’ in Atlanta, according to police
ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - Police said they’re investigating a fatal shooting at a northwest Atlanta apartment complex on New Year’s Eve as a “felon killed by private citizen.”

Atlanta police said they responded to a person shot at 1634 Hollywood Road NW – the address for the Reserve at Hollywood apartments – around 8:36 a.m. Tuesday.
Officers reportedly found a 28-year-old woman with a gunshot to the head. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
In their initial statement Tuesday, police said their “preliminary information suggests the fatal shooting occurred after a dispute occurred over a male.”
1 dead, 2 hurt in fight turned shooting at southwest Atlanta nightclub, police say
One person is dead and two more are injured after a fight became a shooting at a southwest Atlanta nightclub on New Year’s Day, according to police.

Police said in a follow-up statement that homicide investigators “classified this fatal shooting as a felon killed by private citizen.”
Police have not released further details, including who the victim was or what her felonies were. The investigation is ongoing.
The New Year’s Eve homicide is the latest in a string of fatal shootings at the Reserve at Hollywood in recent years.
