FORT MILL, S.C. (WBTV) - Surveillance video caught the exciting moment when a woman realized she won $250,000 on a lottery ticket at a gas station in York County.

On the evening of Thursday, Jan. 2, a woman played a Giant Jumbo Bucks scratch-off lottery ticket at the RunX gas station off of SC-160 at Gold Hill Road. A video camera from inside the store captured the woman’s excitement as she realized her ticket was a winner.

The woman could be seen jumping and cheering, and excitedly hugging a store employee several times. Her odds of winning the $250,000 prize were one in 960,000, officials said.

Officials confirmed to WBTV that the woman successfully cashed in her ticket on Friday.

The store will also reportedly receive a $2,500 commission for selling the ticket.

It wasn’t immediately known whether this was the store’s largest lottery win. Officials did say the store sold a $1,000 winning scratch-off ticket in December.
