1 killed in shooting at Honduran Consulate near Atlanta

DORAVILLE, Ga. - One person was killed and another was injured in a shooting at the Honduran Consulate building near Atlanta on Monday afternoon, according to police.

Doraville police said they responded to reports of shots fired at the Consulate General of Honduras in Atlanta, located at 6755 Peachtree Industrial Blvd., just outside the perimeter in Doraville, around 2:30 p.m.

Wilkes County sheriff investigates weekend gunfire

All of the people involved in a weekend shooting incident are believed to be juveniles and the motive for the shooting is unknown.

The shooting happened right outside the front entrance of the consulate, police said.

Police said they found two people shot at the consulate. One victim died at the scene and another was taken to a hospital.

Police said a suspect was taken into custody at the scene, and has been taken to Doraville police headquarters for questioning.
