Bamberg County sheriff sworn in, several officers promoted

BAMBERG, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) - In Bamberg County, Sheriff Kenneth Bamberg took the Oath of Office on Tuesday.
The ceremony also celebrated the promotion of several officers at the Bamberg County Sheriff’s Office.

For the first time in more than two decades, Aiken County has a new sheriff. Marty Sawyer was sworn in on Tuesday.
Deputy Edward Becerra was promoted to corporal, Deputy Shauntina Benson was promoted to sergeant and Lieutenant Allen Cook is the new captain.
