THOMSON, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - A vehicle fire caused chaos on I-20 near the Thomson exit early Wednesday morning, according to officials.

Georgia State Patrol officials told us the call came in for a vehicle fire at 6:08 a.m. on I-20 westbound past State Highway 150 and Cobbham Road near the Thomson exit.

According to the Georgia Department of Transportation, it was first reported at 5:17 a.m. and is anticipated to end by 9 a.m.

We learned of the fire from News 12 viewers who reached out to us.

Patrol officers told us there were no injuries reported.

Officers were no longer on the scene at 7:14 a.m.
