Semi-truck fire causes chaos on I-20 in Thomson
THOMSON, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - A vehicle fire caused chaos on I-20 near the Thomson exit early Wednesday morning, according to officials.
Georgia State Patrol officials told us the call came in for a vehicle fire at 6:08 a.m. on I-20 westbound past State Highway 150 and Cobbham Road near the Thomson exit.
According to the Georgia Department of Transportation, it was first reported at 5:17 a.m. and is anticipated to end by 9 a.m.
We learned of the fire from News 12 viewers who reached out to us.

Crews battled five fires in five days in North Augusta, Belvedere, Aiken, Graniteville and Wagener, we learned Wednesday morning.
Patrol officers told us there were no injuries reported.
Officers were no longer on the scene at 7:14 a.m.
