That crash happened around 11 p.m. Sunday, but was not reported until nearly 8 a.m. Monday. Ricky Jamison, 62, of Orangeburg, was pronounced dead at the scene of that crash.

The driver of the Infiniti was traveling south on Belleville Road at Cherry Lane when they struck the victim.

The driver continued heading south toward Chestnut Street, according to Glover.

Troopers released details Tuesday describing the vehicle, saying it would have front-end damage to the enger side of the car.

Troopers have not yet released the name of the suspect they arrested or any details regarding the investigation and what information led them to make that arrest.
