Deputies seek clues in hit-and-run crash on Chester Avenue

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office says deputies responded Saturday a hit-and-run crash at Virginia Avenue and Chester Avenue.

Deputies say a subject operating a scooter was struck by a Chevrolet truck, which fled the scene after the accident.

Deputies say the truck was possibly red in color.

According to the sheriff’s office, the subject on the scooter was transported to the hospital for minor injuries.
