ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - Four people were arrested during an anti-deportation rally held near Plaza Fiesta in Chamblee, according to police.

Hundreds of people protested near Plaza Fiesta against “targeted actions” ICE conducted in metro Atlanta. The actions have sent shockwaves through immigrant communities, many of which are centered on Buford Highway and Chamblee.

Two people were arrested for reckless driving, one person was arrested for obstruction and one person was arrested for disobeying an authorized person directing traffic.

The demonstration lasted for hours, and occurred simultaneously with another protest in Marietta.

“A lot of people are scared to come out, especially people that are undocumented. But that doesn’t matter we’re going to come out here and we’re going to show out,” said Rogelio Flores-Penaloza.

The demonstrations come on the heels of the Immigrations and Customs Enforcement conducting several operations, making hundreds of arrests across the country.
