Bond set for Aiken vet charged in death of husband
AIKEN, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) - An Aiken veterinarian has been given a $400,000 bond on her murder charge in relation to the murder of a 43-year-old man.
Jennifer Kerri Ray, the separated wife of a 43-year-old man was charged with murder in his Aiken County shooting death, according to authorities.
Ray was also given a $100,000 bond on her possession of a weapon during a violent crime charge.
Student charged after altercation at Lakeside High School
A student is being criminally charged after an altercation with another student at Lakeside High School, parents learned on Wednesday.

According to court records, Ray’s bond conditions are as follows:
- Defendant shall be placed on house arrest
- Defendant shall not change residence without approval of the court.
- Defendant shall be placed on electric monitoring
- Defendant shall no with victim’s relatives
- Defendant shall not have any firearms or ammunition
- Defendant shall not travel outside of South Carolina
Judge Donna Hutto Williamson signed the order on Monday.
The Aiken County Coroner’s Office says Greg Baughman was pronounced dead at 6:30 p.m. on Dec. 1, at the scene of the shooting in the 1000 block of Prides Crossing.
Ray was arrested on Dec. 1, according to the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office.
SLED charges 2 Bamberg County inmates with arson
The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division has charged two Bamberg County inmates with arson.

Authorities had said the shooting was a domestic-related incident.
According to previous news coverage, Baughman and Ray co-owned Hitchcock Animal Hospital at Trail Ridge Road and Hitchcock Parkway.
The couple separated on Aug. 29, according to court filings. Then Baughman legally filed for separation on Oct. 25 in a matter that was awaiting mediation, according to a court filing.
Ray’s next appearance at the courthouse will be March 14 at 9 am. Her second appearance will be May 23 at 11 a.m.
