Woman accused of running over man to kill him in Orangeburg

A Charlotte woman was charged with murder after an arrest warrant said she intentionally ran over a man with her car after a fight.

ORANGEBURG, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) - A North Carolina woman has been charged with murder after intentionally running a man over with her car, according to arrest warrants from the Orangeburg County Sheriff’s Office.

Kaishia Sharel Abney, 40, of Charlotte, told officers she spent Sunday with the father of her children in Orangeburg, according to the incident report.

Jackson 20-year-old charged in sexual conduct with minor

A man has been charged after being accused of criminal sexual conduct with a minor and providing drugs to them in Jackson, authorities said Thursday.

Orangeburg County Coroner Sean Fogle identified the victim as Michael Howell, 35.

Deputies found Howell lying on Old Cameron Road unconscious. EMS units arrived shortly after and pronounced him dead, the incident report said.

New details emerge in Jackson man’s child sex charges

Police released details about the crimes a Jackson man has been charged with after being accused of criminal sexual conduct with several minors and providing them with drugs.

Arrest warrants state the crime was captured on surveillance cameras, and that “[Abney] intentionally struck the victim with her vehicle after a verbal altercation causing his death.”

The warrant said that Abney was in the opposite lane of travel when she hit Howell, which killed him.

According to the sheriff’s office, one child was in Abney’s car at the the of the crash.

The 911 calls have been released from an Augusta beating that left a 82-year-old patient dead in January.

Abney told the deputies that while she and Howell were arguing, he jumped out of the car as she was driving around 5 mph, an incident report said.

According to the incident report, Abney told deputies hat she made a U-turn and as she was driving north, saw him standing in the middle of the road and ran him over.
