3-Degree Guarantee: Prepare for Babies gets $1,000 check
AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - This year, News 12′s First Alert Weather Team is doing something called the “Three Degree Guarantee”.
Each weekday, if our forecasted high is within three degrees of the actual high for the day, our sponsor, Tub Doctor, donates $50 to the nonprofit of our choice for the month.
In January, that nonprofit was Prepare for Babies.
Dental College of Georgia offers a day of free care for kids
Augusta University’s Dental College of Georgia hosted its annual Give Kids a Smile Day. It was in honor of Children’s Dental Health Month.
We raised $800 through our correct forecasts. Tub Doctor upped that to $1,000.
Organizers with Prepare for Babies says they are currently raising funds to purchase a maternity home.
So, the money donated will go towards a down payment.
The maternity home will be able to house sox mothers and their babies at a time.
Prepare for Babies allows mothers to receive materialistic things they need, offer some mentorship and get them on the right path with different organizations in the area.
